HD Video Collection - "The videos in this archive were shot using a Canon 5DmkII at 1920x1080, 30fps.
This camera shoots progressive footage, meaning that there is no interlacing to worry about. The frame rate is also true 30fps, not 29.97. All of the clips are provided as Quicktimes compressed with H.264, as they are recorded by the camera. As with most footage, there is a little bit of grain and / or artifacting which is a result of the sensor and compression. Regardless, you should find the footage to be of high-quality, especially when downsized to 1280x720. This is known as 720p and is likely the highest resolution you would need to work at for final animations, especially for personal work. "
